We offer instruction in firearms handling and safety as well as proper techniques for shooting .22 rimfire rifles, trap, and skeet. .22 rifles and 12 and 20 gauge shotguns will be provided for those who don't own their own. Parents and their youngsters are invited to come out and try something new.

RCGC wants to encourage youth shooting activity and is ready to accommodate your youth group.  We periodically host Scout and church youth groups as well as a 4-H Shooting Club. If you would like to set up a visit for your group, contact Club President Jim Alverson.

4-H Shooting Club

The 4-H Shooting Club at RCGC is accepting new members. Membership is open to all youth between the ages of 10 and 19. Shooting activities currently include .22 rifle, air pistol, archery, muzzleloading, and trap using 20 and 12 gauge shotguns. We emphasize safe gun handling and shooting. All participants are closely supervised by qualified instructors. The club meets once a month, usually at RCGC, on the first Thursday afternoon of the month. There is no cost for membership and participation in 4-H activities. All equipment and ammunition are provided free. You will be expected to participate in club fundraisers including the annual Central Carolina Fair. Each year shooting club members have the option to compete in various disciplines at the regional and state shooting tournaments. State winners are eligible for the national tournament.
